You need to complete 5 dives, two of which are compulsory - the navigation dive & deep dive. The final 3 dives are chosen by you from a selection.
Once complete the Advanced Open Water qualification then certifies you to dive to a maximum of 30 metres, opening up a world of choice especially when diving abroad.
To continue your exploration of the underwater world, you must hold the PADI Open Water Diver qualification or equivalent, and be at least 12 years old. All equipment is provided for your use (at no extra cost) with the exception of mask, snorkel, boots & fins. Limited sizes of dry suits are available if you wish to take the dry suit elective dive. All nitrox equipment is also provided if you elect to complete this dive.
Some dives are held at Horsea Island in Portsmouth. These include: navigation, search + recovery, peak performance buoyancy, dry suit, enriched air, diver propulsion vehicle & digital photography. The entry fee to Horsea Island is currently £10 per day.
Dives held out at sea include: wreck, boat, drift, deep, digital photography & naturalist.
Boat dives incur an extra charge of £15 per dive.
Alternatively, twice a year we hold a trip to an inland quarry site enabling you to complete the course in one entire weekend if preferred.

The Advanced Open Water Diver course costs £195. This price includes the PADI manual, use of main scuba equipment & certification.
Not provided: mask, snorkel, fins & boots, site entry fees (payable direct to dive site), boat diving fees.
Please note that if you elect to complete the Enriched Air dive there is an extra cost of £40 which covers the PADI Enriched Air Diver manual & EANx tables (yours to keep at the end of the course).
Payment can be spread per dive, giving you the flexibility to dive whenever is convenient for you. Currently this option only applies to non-online bookings. |
