Prior to committing on a course, why not come along to one of our Discover Scuba Diving swimming pool taster sessions?

  
  These take place on a Wednesday evening at Ocean Views 4m deep heated swimming pool, under the supervision of one of our professional staff, and it is the ideal chance to safely experience scuba for the first time to see if you like it.  Consisting of a short introductory talk, you can then experience the thrill of your first breath underwater for 1 full hour!  
 

 

You can also choose to complete some basic skills such as regulator removal & replacement and mask clearing, especially beneficial if you're thinking of completing a full course.

 

Once you've completed the session you'll receive the PADI Discover Scuba Diving booklet which includes a participation card and registration details.

 

 
 
  • Anyone from the age of 10 upwards can participate in Discover Scuba Diving, as long as you have no pre-existing medical conditions and are in good health.
  • Sessions are held on various evenings at Ocean Views onsite 4 metre deep, heated swimming pool.  The sessions are from 7.00-8.00pm (meeting at the pool at 6.30pm). 
  • A liability release & medical statement will be required to be completed prior to attending.  To download this form please click the link below.

  IMPORTANT - if you answer 'yes' to any of the medical questions on the above form you MUST get a written letter of approval from your doctor prior to attending the pool session.  To do this you must download the PADI Medical Statement (6 pages) and give it to your GP to sign.  If you cannot provide this form signed by your doctor then you will be asked to rebook at a later date when you have secured the approval.  
     
 

Booking conditions

  • We need to know chest/dress size & feet size of participants in order to provide correctly sized equipment.
  • Cancellations of less than 48 hours will incur a rebooking fee of £5.  No refunds are made for short notice cancellations.
  • Failure to attend will incur the full price if rebooking.  Please contact us if you cannot attend.
  • If you need to obtain medical clearance you must present the full 6 part form (detailed above) signed by your doctor.  We are unable to admit you in the water if medical clearance has not been presented.
