The PADI Emergency First Response course is an up-to-date, hands-on first aid course.

Consisting of two modules - First Response Primary Care (CPR) & Secondary Care (First Aid), all essential first aid skills are taught.

Designed specifically to compliment the PADI Rescue Diver course, it is also open to non-divers who wish to gain a recognised first-aid qualification.

The course price includes the EFR manual, from which all the theory behind the practical exercises are covered. This will also serve as a reference manual for future use and to refresh your skills.

After completing some home study from the manual, the day consists of various hands-on practical exercises designed to teach you how to handle first aid emergencies.

Additionally, as part of the course you will cover the practical exercise:

  • Choking Management - learn the Heimlich Manoeuvre to assist choking patients.

Emergency Oxygen Therapy Unit (OTU)

  • Emergency Oxygen Therapy use - learn how to set up an oxygen therapy unit & administer emergency oxygen - especially useful for divers, you can opt to take this extra section on the same day as the main EFR course.  This section will cost an extra £10, payable on the day.

Automated External Defibrillation (AED)

  • This component of the EFR course is also an optional extra.  Defibrillators are becoming more common in workplaces, so if you want to learn how to use one, you can opt to take this extra section on the same day as the main EFR course.  This section will cost an extra £10, payable on the day.
