Everyone's favourite - turtles are quite a common sight on the reefs of the Red Sea.  Turtles are also very inquisitive creatures, coming right up to divers to check them out.  They feed on hard corals during the day, staying underwater for several minutes before returning to the surface to take a breath.

A close up study of a Fire Coral, with a pink sponge nestled amongst its branches.  As the name suggests, Fire Coral can give a nasty 'burn' if touched by bare skin, due to its stinging nematocyst cells, seen here as "hairs" on its branches.

A Peppered Moray Eel, one of several species of Moray Eel found in the Red Sea.  This one was about 9 inches long and very timid!

A Blue Spotted Stingray, commonly seen in the Red Sea.  Another venomous species, they literally have a sting in their tail, which they use on prey!

A macro study of a Clown Fish nestled in it's anemone.  The relationship between the fish & anemone is symbiotic - the stinging anemone provides protection for the fish, in return the fish feeds the anemone.
