Retail - Tuition - Advice

Picture the scene - you're in a tropical paradise half way across the world, with crystal clear warm seas & world class snorkelling.  You hire a mask, snorkel and fins and venture out onto the reef.  It's like an aquarium with gorgeous tropical fish everywhere, but there's only one problem - you can't see much because the mask is leaking like a sieve and salt water is going up your nose!  Sound familiar?

We've been there too, which is why we specifically cater for snorkellers of all abilities and experience.  Whether you'd just like some advice on buying your own quality mask & snorkel, or you'd like to take lessons to learn how to get the most out of it, we're here to help.

Our dive shop is fully stocked with one of the largest ranges of masks & snorkels on the south coast, from budget prices to top-of-the-range.

A good budget-priced mask & snorkel costs from as little as £20.  You can view some of our wide range by visiting the shop (online or in person).  Our friendly, approachable staff can help you choose the right product and show you how to fit it properly.

Although you can hire basic equipment in most resorts, you can't guarantee the quality of it, and whether it fits correctly.  If you enjoy snorkelling it's always worth buying your own personal equipment, allowing you to get the most out of the sport.

With prices from as little as £32 for mask, snorkel & fins it won't mean a major investment either!

We cater for all ages from small children upwards with appropriate sizes to fit.

TUITION

We offer snorkelling lessons at our onsite swimming pool for £10 per hour session. You can learn at your own pace over as many sessions as you wish. Tuition is non-formal and based on what you want to learn. If you don't feel comfortable in deeper water we can provide buoyancy vests on request.

EQUIPMENT

Masks

Masks used to be made out of black rubber and eventually perished & went all sticky after a period of time!  Nowadays modern masks are made from silicone, which is clear, soft, hypoallergenic and supple and lasts 2-3 times longer than rubber.   With a variety of styles, colours and sizes to fit all face shapes, a good mask will give you years of service.

Snorkels

Modern snorkels are somewhat different to their original predecessors.  Instead of a narrow J-shaped tube, they're shaped nowadays for optimum performance, and have drain valves and splashguard tops.  Mouthpieces are much more comfortable and are often replaceable for when you've munched through them!

Fins

You say flippers, we say fins!  Though we all called them flippers as children, the proper term for them is fins.  Fins have changed radically over the years and are no longer the stiff, heavy things they used to be.  Using modern materials, you'll hardly notice you're even wearing them!  For safety, it's always best to wear fins in case of strong currents or surf.
